Google "sorry you're a bot" message

Lately I've been getting more and more of these messages from Google:[quote="google.co.uk"]We're sorry...
... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.
this is whether I'm surfing at home or work, and both places are well protected from viruss & spyware ...
anyone else suffering similarly? any clues as to why?

Re: Google "sorry you're a bot" message

I've seen this when going through Usenet posts on Google Groups (before they Bogarde up the search facility again!). If you click on a number of links to posts in quick succession, Google's server thinks you're a virus or an e-mail harvester bot and shuts you out for a while.
