I'm not convinced. Large images seem to be reduced to a bit less than your screen size.

It's really quite hard to find really big images on Google.

https://www.eso.org/public/images/0206_1_sun_moon_cc_18k_8bit/ gives a selection of different sizes - up to a genuine 81.4MBytes.

My browser is "nearly" the latest. Updating fixed the  CAPTCHA problem but introduced a few other minor ones as the latest version is more aimed at those with newer video cards than I have.

In the end there was a simple fix just adding a line to the browsers config file. The slightly older version now works fine with CAPTCHAs. They now work in there usual tedious infuriating way.

Except that I'd never normally use Google images, especially the advertising ones.
