Google Images

I hate the way that Google is now displaying images.
Please does anyone know if it is possible to get it to revert back to how they used to be?

using firefox you can block images from appearing
click on tools/options/content
you can select to show images automatically
then click on the the exceptions buttons opposite
add googles web site address  ie  http://www.google.co.uk/
to block any  images
I'm not sure if that helps ?

I don't like it either - now investigating
Fixed - at the bottom of the screen - select switch to basic version

Thank you both for trying to help. I remembered reading of some simple action that could be taken to stop it but not able to recall what it was.
Anyway, problem solved - as Oldjim says, the Switch to Basic Version works great.  Much, much better.
