Until now:
- I don't trust Google...
- Google Analytics uses scripts by Google...
- Therefore I don't trust Google Analytics
Now:
- I don't trust Google...
- Google Opt-out uses scripts by Google...
- Therefore I don't trust Google Opt-out.
I don't see what's changed.

For those with add block plus, click on the ABP logo and look for the hidden webstats.plus.net URL which includes your IP address.

At least with Plusnet,, the javascript in sdc_tag.js easier to read than the Google maze of code.
So, apart form stuff that I expect would be available from the web server logs (including the IP address?), the script also seems to gather; screen size, colour depth, flash version, Java enabled and Javascript version.
It doesn't bother me, but I think sdc_tag.js may be the target to aim Adblock Plus at, if the above information was felt to be sensitive.
It doesn't bother me, so I've not blocked the plusnet tracking components.

I use ABP and just blocked this what you have said, Is there anything else that's invading my privacy that I should be aware of?
Quote from: Peter And don't forget to block PlusNets alternative (sneaky) method of tracking your access to their webpages.
For those with add block plus, click on the ABP logo and look for the hidden webstats.plus.net URL which includes your IP address.
