Re: GTX 970

I think that's exactly the card I've got. Happy with it, had no issues with it.

Re: GTX 970

I'll swear by EVGA any day, used to be a big MSI advocate but after a horrible RMA I switched to EVGA for anything graphics, plus they look great

Re: GTX 970

thats an extra 200 quid Tongue
im now thinking about getting this one http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-evga-gtx-970-ftwplus-with-acx-20plus-pcie-30-(x16)-7010mhz-gddr5-...
Comes with backing plate which protects it and its supposed to be cooler, also the evga uses less power and give better perfomance from what im reading.

Re: GTX 970

I suggest getting the SSC model, the first set of evga 970 cards had some issues, will link to it for you.
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-evga-gtx-970-ssc-acx-20plus-pcie-30-7010mhz-gddr5-gpu-1190mhz-boo...
The SSC has a better voltage regulator, better cooling and better port layout. Than the SC.
oh and the ftw+ you linked to thats a good choice also, that also has the above improvements. (not the plain ftw without the +)

Re: GTX 970

it has 4 gig but its segmented.  Basically if you playing a game that requires more than 3.5 gig of vram you can expect stuttering.
I would cancel the order and swap for the SSC, the price is very similar but the improvements are significant.
You havent said what resolution you be playing at, but if its 1080p then the 3.5gig wont be an issue.
