As long as Office 2007 is still supported you should get updates for that application.
It is the Windows XP and older versions of Internet Explorer (and XP based MSE) which are not supported any more.

In case the question may arise
Since 1st post & after installing the updates & restart
There another 43 updates
Will there be more after the next reboot (will await & see)

Yup - you have a few hours of updates still to go.
All the old ones are there, they just aren't releasing new ones. I've done a few XP installs recently lol.

MSE will still get virus definition updates on an XP system till 14th July 2015, it will still also nag the hell out of you about the out of date operating system.

That's good to know - I'm sure I got a message that it was no longer supported. Will have to log back on and re-read it

If you avoid updating MSE from version 4.4 to 4.5 you seem to get a working copy without the nagging.
