A Lot of computers come with a free trial of anti virus programs already installed. Can you specifically request that this is not installed or if it is can be be removed easily ?

Quote Absolute Uninstaller is similar to standard Windows Add/Remove program but more powerful. The standard Add/Remove program can't uninstall applications completely which often leaves broken registry keys, unnecessary files on the hard disk. The more junk files your computer have, the slower it runs. Uninstall Manager can wipe off all the junk files clearly in seconds. It offers a more user-friendly way to remove unneeded applications and to improve your computer efficiency.

PCs generally come pre-loaded with the manufacturers standard package set which, being standard, can't be changed by the supplier. They either self-install when you first power up the system (with some giving you the option to install or not), or they install automatically and you can then just uninstall them as normal.
