Fractions

I know the keyboard layout can be altered to produce fractions but is there some quick way to do this ie: switch keyboard lay out with a single key and if so how do you do this ?
What I am trying to do is display say  1/4  or 1/16  but have the first figure higher than the lower

Re: Fractions

Some of the more common fractions can be found using Character Map:
¼ ½ ¾ ⅛ ⅜ ⅝ ⅞
These were with Verdana.

Re: Fractions

Or try holding down the ALT key and typing 0188, 0189 or 0190 on the numeric pad on the keyboard for the ¼ ½ or ¾ fractions.

Re: Fractions

That's a very useful tip. Is there a list of Numbers for the different fractions using the ALT key or is it just these basic ones.
If you have a link to them on the internet that would be useful.
Thanks

Re: Fractions

Hi,
There's a Wikipedia entry for Windows Alt Key Codes that points to:
http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/accents/codealt.html
I remember the fractions though as they are among the most common uses.
