I have been experiencing intermittent crashes, three or four, maybe. That is also since 'upgrading' flash recently.

Have suggested she allows the update to 17.0.1.
I have FF 17.0.1 with Flash 11.4.402.287 and get some crashes but not very frequently.

Adobe forums recently seem to show that the problem had been acknowledged and has been fixed, so I upgraded Flash to 11.5.502.110. Video clips then refused to play at all.
Once again, uninstalling Flash and reinstalling Flash 11.0.1.60 has cured the problem and I can play video clips (with sound).
I suppose I might try again in another few weeks/months. Meanwhile, I will be sure to refuse all invitations to upgrade Flash!
EDIT: I forgot to mention I am using FF 17.0.1.

Should the version of Flash installed (32 or 64bit) reflect the OS version being used or the browser version?
E.g. If running 32bit IE on a 64 W7 OS.
I think I know the answer but wondered what other people suggest.

Quote However the standard Firefox Browsers for Windows are 32 bit as you say in the question title.
You will therefore need both versions a 64 bit version for Windows IE and a 32bit version for Firefox. In any event separate flash Software is required for the two browsers.
Whilst installing FlashPlayer be aware that the current version is version 11.3 but that some users are finding problems, sometimes this is resolved by installing an older version of Flash Player, either Version 10.3, which is fully secure or Version 11.2 which has more features but is less secure.

Going back a few months there were almost constant Firefox freezing issues and I had to disable GPU hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin and in Firefox itself.
