Flash player in Firefox

Adobe have released a new version of Flash Player (11.3) that doesn't work in Firefox 13 (e.g. playing videos on the BBC new sites).

I had problems after the new Flash Player download, vids on youtube, went green or blocky or did not play.... so I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player and the download manager .... then went to the site and downloaded a fresh copy.... installed it, and everything seems to be fine again....

Saved me a lot of messing around trying to follow the instructions in the linky........

Adobe appear to have updated the linked article since yesterday, now blaming RealPlayer, any other extensions, or anything in your user profile.
Flash Player protected mode is only applicable to Vista / 7.

Need to update your Java Platform, also Real Player is still out there but in a big way, ever hear of JW Player...
For you to watch a *.flv file you need to have the latest Java Platform and Flash plug-ins and there you have the problem, also will always check to see if you have the latest update for firefox.
Remember Firefox is like none other, also helps to be familiar with how firefox works.

Flash has been crashing regularly here for a few days. I uninstalled 11.3 and have re-installed 11.2.202.228 for 32bit and 11.2.202.235 for 64 bit and all has been stable since.
Probably don't need the 64 bit version as all my browsers are 32 bit ASAIK.

Stable but with known security flaws. If you want an old version you're supposed to use a patched version of 10.3: 10.3.183.20
11.3.300.262 has been recently released.

10.3 doesn't work with some websites:(
I'll check out 11.3.300.262 shortly.

I have FF13.01 with  version 11,2,202,235 installed and have had no problems
