[Fixed] Firefox Problem with CNET downloads

As an example going to this site http://download.cnet.com/Adblock/3000-11745_4-10461863.html locks up Firefox with the bottom left of the screen showing this. Note I have no problem with IE8 (this happens when using Vista and Windows 7)

Re: Firefox Problem with CNET downloads

Uninstalled Firefox from the Windows 7 partition removing all records then reinstalled and works fine.
It must be something in my settings in the Vista partition which I ported over to the Windows 7 installation.
Now for some digging - thanks for the help

Why were you looking at Adblock?

Re: Firefox Problem with CNET downloads

Because it seemed to work better than adblock plus
Having said that I am using Adblock Plus on the windows 7 installation to compare

Re: Firefox Problem with CNET downloads

Problem solved - I don't know which bit did it but I used MozBackup to get all the important parts  back - except for General Settings as something in there was messing it up
