Firefox spelling check

Firefox 3.04 on Win XP SP3
I though I understood Firefox and been using it since version 0.99
I seem to have lost the abilty to spell check as you type in forums like this .where mispelled words had the red undeline .
I had a problem a while ago, uninstalled and reinstalled afresh including clearing all files  - and I couldn't use the spell check facility.
I've installed a fresh edition on a Vista laptop and it works on that .

odd that the same thing has happened to me on my mac, but windows is still OK.
Haven't had any luck in tracking it down either

On saying that just worked it out now.
It seems to have lost my British dictionary so I had to do a right click in here select 'add dictionary'.
Now working again, not sure why it was lost though.

That was it - many thanks - I right clicked and added the British dictionary.
No idea why it stopped working earlier though

Is that wot the red underline means.
Joking aside, it often does that when you update. as adiewoo said you just have to add the English dictionary back in.

I have XPSP3 firefox 3.04 and it spells color correctly as colour didnt have to reinstall when it uodated from 3.03 to 3.04

So far for me...
- Windows XP SP3 was ok
- Mac OS X broke
- Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 broke.
Haven't checked my Linux box yet..

Install the British English language option  - right click etc

But I have got the British, it spelt colour correctly

Fresh install of Fedora 10, and its has taken the hint that I am British English.
