The "problem" that @Strat has come up against, is not necessarily Firefox problem,...

Agreed. windows 10 could be involved or even my Kaspersky but it's difficult to track down.

I can temporarily disable Kaspersky but Windows is a different matter.

A certain member Wink might suggest I switch to Linux but I doubt I have sufficient time left to learn a new OS in detail.

@chillypenguin hasn't been on here for a while so I think I'm safe.

I've dabbled with various Linux flavours in the past but when I have problems with a simple task like connecting WiFi and driver availability, Windows wins.

Things may have moved on....

They've definitely improved but for plug and play usage, windows will lead that for a while

Re: Firefox Issue

@Strat You could always 'refresh' firefox. Menu, Help, Troubleshoot, Refresh.

Not that it cleared my problem last time I took that route. 😉 Only thing I've noticed is that sometimes it's a bit slow loading pages. Funny enough, Plusnet's forum being the worse. But it does tend to stay connected.

Ever helpful. Grin Sure, I’d love to help you out. Now which way did you come in?

Re: Firefox Issue

I loaded this page (https://community.plus.net/t5/Tech-Help-Software-Hardware-etc/Firefox-Issue/m-p/1571531) and it came to 221.74K. However, this was built from literally hundreds of separate HTML links, which slows it down hugely. Add into the mix piles of CSS and Javascript and it takes a decently powerful machine to load it at all.

It's a very poorly "designed" website.

Re: Firefox Issue

@idonno I did as you suggested plus a couple of other things.

I'm noticing a small improvement so we'll see how things go.
