FTTC installation query

Hello all,
Quick question... how come my FTTC is being installed on the 19th, and my BB Access service isn't due to go live until 20th up to midnight?
Thats a shame, I was hoping I would at least be able to try out my new broadband service after the engineer left, wether i'll be under line-stability for 10 days or not.
It doesn't make sense really.
(Is there a way to change the activation date?)

Your broadband will be active when the engineer leaves.
