FTP Filezilla and Windows Vista

Hello
im trying to use Filezilla as my FTP programme and it wont install passively on my Windows Vista. Anyone have any suggestions in plain english as to how to set up manually or why Vista wont allow it in passive mode? im new to all this.

I can't help but FireFTP works out of the box with Vista

Yes - it is an addon to Firefox

oh yes its free...but i have to download Firefox! Lucky i was going to do that anyway! thanks.
