FF 44.0.2 and volume changes

Since installing the latest version of FF I have noticed that if there is audio playing one or more tabs then the volume of other players such as VLC or Winamp is reduced for the duration then returned back to normal when the audio in FF is stopped or paused.
This can be helpful but not always wanted but I can't find an option to stop this happenning.
It doesn't happen in Chrome or IE (latest vesions)

Mav there is a problem with FF44 causing sound problems

since first FF44 came out i can no longer play any sound in 5.1 only in stereo

Have been on their help support forum , they are aware of some sound problems and are working on it

Asus ROG Hero Vii Z97 , Intel i5 4690k ,ROG Asus Strix 1070,
samsung 850evo 250gig , WD black 2 TB . Asus Phoebus sound ,
16 gig Avexir ram 2400 , water cooling Corsair H100i gtx ,
Corsair 750HXI Psu , Phanteks Enthoo pro case .
