Ethernet connection

Daft question maybe, but if I were to get  a laptop without an RJ45 port would it be possible to connect the ethernet via some other means or would it only be possible to connect wirelessly?

Re: Ethernet connection

If the laptop has a spare USB connector, you could use a USB to ethernet adaptor.
Have a look on eBay to get an idea of what's available, try searching for "laptop usb rj45"

Re: Ethernet connection

Thanks Purleigh.   I'm a little confused by the description but I guess this " USB to RJ45 LAN Ethernet Network adaptor for Notebook Laptop Tablet PC Netbook" should do it.

Re: Ethernet connection

Yes - should be fine,
just make sure that you read the description to ensure that the auction/advert says that it will work with whatever operation system you intend to run on the laptop,  if that one doesn't specifically say then keep looking because one of them will.
