E-mail problem

For several years I had a tiscali e-mail account that has now lapsed and I now use googlemail.
During the past few weeks I have been getting messages in my googlemail that messages to duncan22@tiscali.co.uk could not be delivered.... what I cannot understand is why these messages are appearing in my googlemail.
I have no way of getting access to the closed tiscali account so is there any way I can stop these messages appearing in my googlemail.
I could report them as spam but if I do that and it's wrong there is no way I can "unspam" them.
A sample of the message that I keep getting is,
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
    duncan22@tiscali.co.uk
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 <duncan22@tiscali.co.uk> recipient overquota (state 14).

I would be grateful for any advice anyone can give me about this.
Thanks

Re: E-mail problem

Assuming you aren't actually sending emails to your old account have you setup an auto forward in Googlemail
Also is there anything in your sent email box related to the bounced emails
