Drop box, evernote etc

Is there a program similar to Dropbox or Evernote that will allow me to transfer files between a computer and tablet using Linux Mint..
I am thinking about jpeg and pdf files. Or is it not possible to do this.
Having tried both of the above I get a message to say they are not available in linux.

If it's an Android tablet then try Airdroid https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid&hl=en_GB . The only thing it needs on the host is a browser. I use it with both Windows and Linux ( Firefox ).

Yes, I use DropBox on Ubuntu. The advantage of Airdroid is that it'll do the transfer locally via wifi, it also does Contacts etc
