As the above , BT or have now changed their stance from only selling 12mth min term contracts to ISP's for those with FTTC who migrate to a different isp after 12mths , it is now only one month min term for inter FTTC migrations, they have also reduced the connection fee to £11.?? as well
What i and i think plenty of others would like to know is there any plans to
1, pass on the this reduction in connection/activation fee to those who only take FTTC broadband only
2, start to provide a 1 mth min contract for incoming FTTC migrations from other isp's who use the same BT wholesale platform for data transit ect,
The reasons i ask are that no BT engineer visit is required for FTTC migrations it's done via BT's systems so now only a small cost raised by BT
also usually there is no hardware required router or modem,
no need for 18mth min term contracts for migrations anymore
