Dissenter browser

New to this one, so does anybody have any views or experience of it before I try it out.

Cheers.

Re: Dissenter browser

If you want a privacy focused browser, perhaps look at Brave.
This seems to be a cross between a browser and a farm for their social media network (Gab).

I wouldn't have it.

Re: Dissenter browser

I've recently arranged for Firefox to use DNS SEC - so that DNS requests (and replies) are sent over https, rather than in a plain text form. Presumably, this makes the collection of my browsing history rather more troublesome?

Doesn't seem to interfere with any browsing activities.

Re: Dissenter browser

Fix

@Minivanman Not totally convinced about the need of another browser. I'd certainly agree some browsers are geared to collecting advertising data though. On the Dissenter website they say

Block ........  trackers by default.

but then say

Discover a comment section on every URL online.

What! So someone is collating info of the URL's you're going to. Nice. I have never ever felt the need to comment on any URL I've ever been to.

I don't use Edge, Chrome but I do run Firefox, with Opera bringing as backup. On Firefox, I have No script, Badger, Adblock etc and so far haven't felt the need of another browser. I very rarely, if ever, see ads (apart from those sites that I allow. Privacy Badger seems to do quite a good job with tracking sites.

I'll give Dissenter a miss. I don't think I'd gain anything.

Ever helpful. Grin Sure, I’d love to help you out. Now which way did you come in?
