Does anyone else having trouble accessing the Swiss federal government website at https://www.efd.admin.ch
It always times me out when I try connecting from my Plusnet account at home, on any machine I use. However I can access it from a neighbour's (non-Plusnet) account.
Of course I have already contacted the site manager. They are not (knowlngly) restricting my access to the site.
To track the problem further I need to know if it affects other plusnet customers or just me.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@SwissRoll - yes, times out for me too 'the site is taking too long to respond' being what I get as a response.
Try a tracert and see where it fails?

I've had problems all week from my Windows 10 laptop accessing a variety of sites - timeouts etc. My Windows 7 laptop is fine. I wonder if it's something to do with recent BT maintenance work in my area? Have there been routing or DNS changes?

The site times out for me, and it does not appear to be a DNS problem.

Yes, I've just tried again, this time got a DNS result (dunno what happened the first time), and the traceroute got as far as you did, to

but after that .... silence.

I can connect quick happily to the site from a browser.
My traceroute is similar to yours (there is no reason why the target service would show on a traceroute as many websites block pings)

I was using
# traceroute -q 1 -N 1 -T -p 443 www.efd.admin.ch
So it was using TCP on port 443 (HTTPS), the same as accessing the website in a browser would use.
Perhaps something along the route does not like my 146.198.X.X IP address.

Mine is 143.159.x.x, so that's not the common factor.
I'm not sure whether my IP is dynamic or static, is there an easy way of telling?
