is this an onboard card, or a mini PCI one? If it's onboard I suspect it may well be impossible to fix, however if it's in an expansion slot you may be able to take it out, clean the contacts and put it back. If not I suspect you may be looking at an external adapter - USB or PCMCIA.

Hi Matt
Its the internal NIC, soldered to the MOBO. Its obviously gone south, even if I unsoldered it, the actual part may not be the issue, and it would be nigh on impossible to find the culpret I think.
