Damn Stupid

If i rip a track from a cd which i own , and rip it to mp3, when i play the track i get a message saying you need a licence to play this track.
But if i insert the cd and use sound recorder to record the track to mp3, it plays fine without a licence. That in my view is just damn stupid. anyone else found that?

Re: Damn Stupid

Technically it is against the law to rip a CD you have to MP3, I don't believe they amended the law to reflect this..

Technically, you will get better sound quality if you rip from the digital CD.
Many programs will do this, provided that they aren't bought from M$.
