Copying files from one NAS to another.

I've just invested in a Synology NAS and I want to copy some of the data from the old QNAP NAS on to the new Synology. So I’m looking for a way to move these files in the quickest possible time. I know I can mount from both devices locally but I don’t want to do that, as it a redundant trip on the network so I’d rather mount the QNAP on the Synology if that’s possible.

Anyone able to help?

Fix
Thinks: what I would do is telnet/ssh/adb into one of them and try and mount the other on it, the using the local os copy the files. Use nohup if the box has it so you don't need to be logged in all the time.

Since I have never owned any nas devices (pre-built) I am unfamiliar with them. But I think I have heard that they have a basic busybox install.

@HairyMcbiker got me thinking so rather than faff about mounting them I simply SSH’d into the QNAP and did a recursive scp to the Synology from there and is copying the files as I type.
