I am well aware of that, my wording was based on the documentation but that actually uses the term server name and if I'd used that someone would not doubt have moaned that it doesn't have to be a server!

Hi - no progress. The plusnet Router doesn't show anything linked to the Home network - despite the fact that the NAS is connected to the router. I can't get into the NAS either - so stumped!

Do you know what IP the NAS box used to have?

I think if you connect the NAS box and a PC to your old router without connecting the router to your phone line you should be able to access it and check it's IP configuration.
