Connecing to usenet from abroad

Is there a way to connect to plusnets news server when I am abroad.?
I've tried logging in with my username and password, but I get an error with access denied.

Unfortunately you can't use a client to access our Usenet feed when on a different network, however you can access it via the portal if you log in (although the interface leaves a lot to be desired).

... and frequently makes you unpopular with other users as it doesn't link posts properly.

That sure is a clunky interface.  Oh well, google groups will have to do.
Thanks anyway.
