Seems they're packing that much into mobiles these days they need to come with a fan or heat exchanger I hear the new BB 10 also suffers from getting hot although with just being released people are maybe playing with them all day. The ipad was known for suffering the same issue.

They have been designed to heat up, in a secret agreement between the phone companies and the british train operating companies.......
The longer a passenger has to wait for a delayed train, the more money they make from the phone calls/texts the passengers are sending to explain why they are late for work/coming home.... also the heat generated lulls the passengers into a false sense of well being, despite being left high and dry on a freezing platform/train for hours on end....
