Recently purchased a chromecast and it works fine, however if left on all the time it gets fairly hot but if switched off it needs to be reset and the code re-entered.
The few websites I have visited seem to indicate there is no problem leaving it plugged in but if you own one what do you do ?

I've left mine plugged in and powered up for weeks at a time with no issues.

I bought one in May last year and plugged it in to the TV in my bedroom when it arrived. This TV's either on or in standby and I've never had a single issue with it in all that time.
