Change of "A" Record

Hi Guys,
I want to change my "A" Record to point my domain name to another server. Does anyone know what I should put in the left field?  Crazy
Many Thanks

Re: Change of "A" Record

Left field is the actual name for example
www.mydomain. ;     or
mydomain.                or
mail.mydomain.        or
www.mail.mydomain. ;     etc.
Notice the trailing full stop that is required.

Re: Change of "A" Record

Thought I would let you see an actual records file as produced by Virtualmin which should make it all clear:
$ttl 38400
@ IN SOA ns1.mynameserver.com. email.mydomain.com. (
1253892412
10800
3600
604800
38400 )
@ IN NS ns1.mynameserver.com.
mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
www.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
ftp.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
m.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
localhost.mydomain.com. IN A 127.0.0.1
webmail.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
admin.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
mail.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
mydomain.com. IN MX 5 mail.mydomain.com.
