Change of "A" Record

Hi Guys,
I want to change my "A" Record to point my domain name to another server. Does anyone know what I should put in the left field?  Crazy
Many Thanks

Re: Change of "A" Record

Left field is the actual name for example
www.mydomain. ;     or
mydomain.                or
mail.mydomain.        or
www.mail.mydomain. ;     etc.
Notice the trailing full stop that is required.

Re: Change of "A" Record

Thought I would let you see an actual records file as produced by Virtualmin which should make it all clear:

10800

@ IN NS ns1.mynameserver.com.

ftp.mydomain.com. IN A XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
