Cant get into msconfig on win 7 32bit

Whenever I try to run msconfig I get an error
"There was a problem starting c:\PROGRA~2\codofo6z.dat"
obviouslta file is missing or corrupt
Can anyone help me get it back

More likely you have a virus that is blocking msconfig to stop you using it to disable the virus.

Have you tried browsing to C:\Windows\System32 directly and trying to run msconfig.exe?

Well that link is to a more comprehensive version of what I wrote; namely that a virus is the root cause of this problem.
