Can't remove PlusNet Assist
I'm trying to help a friend of mine (not one of my referrals!) whose PC is running very slowly (Reasonably fast Dell with 1GB ram and XP).
Getting to the heart of it there seem to be conflicts between an "excess" (to put it mildly) of protection/support/monitoring software on his PC.
I've got rid of nearly all of it (including the irrelevant BT Broadband Help) but uninstalling PlusNet Assist just seems to "hang".
Leaving it for ages sees no change and Task Manager shows it to be doing little if anything.
I'm tepted to just delete the directories it runs from (in Safe Mode) but is there a better way, e.g a "removal tool"?
I've tried both via Control Panel and the Uninstall option in the program group. Identical non-progress.
