Can't reconnect my Freeview/Blu-ray recorder after router TG582n firmware update

I have the Technicolor TG582n router and I have a number of wireless devices connected to it. However, my Freeview/Blu-ray recorder has stopped working. I logged in to the router to find it looks different so I assume it's had a firmware update. Most of my devices are still working but I cannot get the Freeview/Blu-ray recorder to connect no matter what I try.
I usually hide my SSID and only allow devices to join via registration. However, I disabled these options and I still can't connect. The Freeview/Blu-ray recorder shows as connected but it's having trouble obtaining an IP address and I don't know how to fix it.
I've rebooted the router and I've powered off and on the Freeview/Blu-ray recorder but no joy. I even tried the WPS button but this still didn't work.
I really could do with a hand as I don't know what to do.
