Hi all,
My friend has a business account with another ISP (he rushed into signing up before I could persuade him Plusnet were better), today the phone line stopped working & also for a while his internet.
His internet is now back stable at 4 meg - it's usually around four times that - but on ringing his ISP he's been told his line has a 'high voltage loop fault' & they've passed it on to BT Openreach to fix possibly on Monday, my question is can anyone explain what a high voltage loop fault also would it be better to be safe than sorry and disconnect the router?
As he needs the phone line for the card payment machine in his shop I'm hoping it's fixed Monday, but I'm not holding my breath.
Thanks
Steve
