Can I connect 2 PC together via a wireless BB router?

I have one PC with an Asus wireless card (WL 138g) that connects to the net via my Netgear DG834 wireless router.  My other PC connects to the router via a wireless (USB) adapter.  Both connect to the net OK.
Can I, and if so how,  do I connect these 2 PCs together via the wireless router so as to share files between them etc.?
Any help would be much appreciated.

It is very straightforward but the information needed to give an accurate answer - is what operating systems are the two computers running.

That you are doing this wirelessly doesn't affect what you need to do at all. This is on XP - it will be similar on other Windows versions.
In System Properties go to Computer Name and make sure the Workgroup name is the same on both PC's (use the Change button to correct if needed). Close this dialog.
In Local Area Connection Properties for the wireless card/adapter make sure File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is enabled.
You should now be able to share a directory and map it on the other PC.

Thanks Oldjim, yes should have put OS.  It is XP.
And thanks Jelv for your simple intructions, easy when you know how.  Hope this next  request for "how do I" does not show me up to be a complete idiot, but what program do I use  to transfere files etc between my newly networked PCs?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Windows explorer, usual "drag and drop". Just share the folders and they will be visible on the other PC. Simple as!  Wink

Errrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmm   My Windows explorer shows only one PC so got nowhere to 'drag and drop' to !!!      Does this mean I dont have a successful network set up?      Should Windows explorer be showing directories/files of both PCs?

Only the ones you have explicitly shared (as noted earlier). Look under Network in Explorer.

Re: Can I connect 2 PC together via a wireless BB router?

On one PC you have to share a directory - in Windows Explorer right click the directory and select Sharing and Security
On the other PC, in Windows Explorer, from the Tools menu select Map Network Drive. When you click the Browse button it should have your Workgroup name selected, open that up and you should see the name of the other PC and under that the name you gave to the share. Select that. You can change the drive letter to be assigned if you want. After clicking finish you will find that the new drive shows up in Windows explorer and you can copy files across or directly open files on the other PC.
