CPU Coolers

I got an Alpenfohn matterhorn pure which I'm very happy with. But I'm in need of another, I was looking at this one seeing as it's been reduced Pure Rock Anybody used any of the Be Quiet! Range?

BeQuiet are excellent german engineering , but i have AIO Corsair H60, works wonders an takes up less room .
also depends if you doing overclocking

Looks like good paste, I use artic silver as a rule it's always served me well.
@rontw Thanks for the wisdom. No I'm not over-clocking(well just a little shall we say), I just need the cpu temps to be in check. I upgraded 1 of 2 pc's last year (both the same spec) which I built in 2011. I'm just getting ready for the summer early. The Matterhorn is a pretty radical cooler for what I need which has 6 heat pipes, the Pure Rock only has 4, but as you say, German... which to me = properly done! in this kind of field anyway. (The bo proper 'English Version' would be too expensive). Just to note, the matterhorn keeps the cpu @30C (Old one 50C+) ticking over @500rpm. 50C+ on a warm day was to hot for my liking on tickover. Now the other machine is starting to run hotter even after cleaning and re-seating the cpu the summer is just a little to much for the stock cooler.

I have never used Be quiet, but this is the one I am using at the moment, it comes with 2 extra clips so you can have 3 fans working, one in the middle (supplied) and another intake at the front and an exhaust at the rear. 3770K 3.5 clocked to 4.6 and never goes above 55.c. Idles at 18 - 24 core 1,2 through 7,8.

I did have to buy a bigger case though to fit it in as I couldn't get the side on with my previous case, it is huge.

Thats all a bit too mental for me, I love the case though.
I've bought it now £21.59 from a scanshot, I'll update the post when I've installed it. Decent review

That seems quite similar to the Hyper 212 EVO which I got in 2012 for my AMD FX6100.
Under load when rendering videos the CPU was hitting 70+C since installing the above cooler it never goes above 58C.

I did look at that cooler while researching my previuos cooler Mav, can't recall why I decided against it. Might of been that I found a slightly better cooler that had been used in a review for £25 I see plenty happy people with that cooler though. I was worried about the weight on the motherboard when I  fitted the Alpenfohn Matterhorn... MASSIVE thing 
So I'll be a little bit happier about fitting this new Pure Rock cooler which looks a little smaller/lighter like the Hyper 212 Evo that you have.

The Evo was a very tight fit within my case and just about made it

with my case I had to drill the vent holes a bit on the side panel for the top of the hyper evo 212 to fit under it, but then when I changed the stock unbranded psu for a hx1050 I was forced to modify the top of the case (cut a big square hole for the exhaust fan of the psu)
to be honest though it was worth the effort with the hyperevo unit, took my average temp in use from 60+ under load to under 50 so well worth swapping out the previous cooler, once I changed the fans over to noiseless units its even better (the standard fans were to noisy for my liking)

I used to have the 212 evo before i got the H60 AIO , must admit to having no problem fitting to my old case 
But the H60 is easier to fit  an its cooler & quieter

This cooler is worth every penny and I'm pretty impressed so far, temp at idle 27C the old stock fan was sitting around 48/50 at idle.
As you can see it was a very tight fit but apart from that it went in very easy. Nice and quiet, all I can hear now is the coil whine from the psu
