CD reading problem: we have received a CD (A Verbatim 700Mb CD-R) that when we try to copy the 1 (small) file from it to our hard disk returns the following error message: "Cannot copy D G Hazell - 2008-2009: cannot read from source file or disk" Anyone have an idea as to why this is happening please? We operate WXpHESp3.
Sounds like the CD has arrived damaged and can't be read. I'm not sure there's much you can do other than ask the sender to resend the information, if it's a small file perhaps it could be emailed? Hope that helps,
The chances are its damaged but you have a few options which may or may not work. Sometimes one thing will read it were others cant as it may use another method. Try opening the file and then saving it to hd. Try coping it from DOS. Try cleaning the disk try another pc
