CD Player

My CD Player has recently decided to stop at random during the playing of music tracks.  Sometimes it can be restarted but not always.  Any ides, please?

I've not used one of those for quite awhile
Have you tried cleaning the lens and making sure that there isn't any dust in the tray?

My old DVD player had a habit of doing similar, turns out it was overheating. So make sure your CD player isn't getting really hot.
