I have been unable to burn .BUP .IFO & .VOB files onto DVD.
I assumed I would be able to burn them straight to a DVD using Nero.
Unfortunately it didn't work and I got a message saying burn process failed.
The only thing I can think of is that they are NTSC. I'm not entirely sure but does this mean they won't work on a UK machine. If so can they be converted to PAL (if this is the correct format)
Can anyone advise as to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

You need to tell Nero that it is a DVD Video that you want to burn and place the files in the correct folders.

How did you create the file sin the first place? If you use nero express it will convert them from the old format to the new format and create the dvd all in one go

These files were copied directly to my hard drive from someone else's hard drive.
I have no idea where they originally came from only that they are in this format.
I tried to use the DVD Video feature within Nero (which I have used successfully in the past)where you simply drag and drop the files into the Video folder on the left but when I did this the icon changed from the normal gold disc type thing to a music sumbol (if that makes sense)

Often you have to redo the files to the pc you are on. When they are created they use Codecs on the pc that created them if they are not on your pc then it may not like it. Recode them with nero or try dvd santa or dvd shrink and see if they work
