Blackberry 8900 payg unable to access webmail from wifi hotspots

I have tried several times to access my Plusnet webmail from home wifi and other hotspots travelling about without sucess.
I would like to know anyone else has had the same problem and resolved it. However I have no problem accessing my Gmail account. I look forward to recieving any guidance in resolving this.
