Best way to sync files across multiple computers?

Hi
Need some advice guys. I've got a bit of a problem. I've recently invested in a netbook to take to work to kill spare time with (yes the boss is ok with it!).
I thought I'd just copy all my files off the main computer onto it and have them with me. The problem is there is in excess of 30Gb of clutter.. clutter which I'd prefer not to wipe!
So.. I made a windows breifcase and tried to copy EVERYTHING into it. That took forever so I cancelled. Then I decided to break the folders down into their own breifcases but I know I will forget which ones need to be sync'd when I get home.
So what can I do to keep all my files with me but sync them quickly, easily and free?

look for a copy of windows rsync, it will keep your folders in sync and do incremental changes as well

Does that do anything different to SyncToy? I think I'm happier using a free add-on provided by Microsoft.
(I just wish it didn't have "Toy" in the name - it's far from being a toy)

No idea I don't use windows any more, that was just a solution.

Glad to help - I've used it for a few years for several different purposes.
