Can't you just output the results of the search to a file which could then be processed by some kind of script to carry out the desired actions?

I can't speak for Win10, but both Win7 native search and FileLocator Lite allow you to delete (and a few other things) from within the search results.
Have you tried right-clicking on the files you wish to delete?

Have you tried right-clicking on the files you wish to delete?
I think I have cracked it! FileLocatoreLite. W7. Log in as Administrator.
List files *.jpg in drive or folder
Select 20 or so files
Right click Open or Preview.
Files can now be deleted from the view screen!
Thanks to all and off to pot on tomatoes now. This and backup is really a job for dark nights!
