BT2700HGV SIP Phone

Has anyone managed to setup PlusNet SIP phone on BT2700HGV. I have router running on 2Wire firmware connected to PlusNet, works OK (great wireless signal) but seems to drop connection and require reboot at least once a day. Given PlusNet connection to BT is any support available for this router.

Re: BT2700HGV SIP Phone

Direct support from BT, no as they only support that router on BT broadband connections and when it running BT firmware! PN only support the hardware they supply.
Does this help?

Re: BT2700HGV SIP Phone

Just had a wander around google and it looks like the VOIP config is not configurable as this is done directly by BT when they configure the router remotely on a BT broadband line.
So you can't enter any SIP info.

Re: BT2700HGV SIP Phone

I beg to differ Peter, I have PlusTalk SIP configured on my 2700HGV. It depends on the firmware version, you need 5.29.107.12 or above and there is then a hidden config page
http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=J62 which allows you to confiure the SIP server settings. Jimr, take a look at this thread
http://www.the-scream.co.uk/forums/t22658-30.html? it has loads of useful info on the 2700HGV, including how to set up the Voip. I'm surprised it drops the connection tho, the 2700 is the d's b's at hanging on to a DSL connection! Whats your sync speed, attenuation and SNR figures ?
