I have scanned my ps3 wi-fi after a reset ,and noticed a new router/hub nearby named BT Wifi-X, it was shaded out in the list as not supported. Can anyone explain a little more about this service?, and if plusnet have any plans to introduce this?.
It's just the BT WiFi hotspots from nearby BT Home Hubs. At some point in time, it must have been updated to have better security (IEEE 802.1X authentication). That means the wireless traffic is encrypted, rather than using unencrypted wireless where the traffic could be viewed by anyone in the vicinity.
