BT TV Connect service to carry live TV channels over WBC network

Quote

There is a new wholesale service in development that will allow a suite of live TV channels in SD and HD quality to be carried over the BT Wholesale network and multicast to a retail providers customers with the appropriate router and TV set top box in their home. The BT Wholesale TV Connect product may be the game changer that means that BT Retail which spent hundreds of millions on sports rights will see a return on the spend.

Are plusnet going to offer this?

Published costs are aimed at broadcasters for carriage over the service - I suspect it will be sometime before this translates to a retail product and it's not clear who will actually be marketing it....

It would be very nice if we could get BT Sport over PlusNet as they have just bought MotoGP and there is no other means of getting the package now that BBC have lost it and EuroSport have lost it.

Word on the net is if you have BT Internet and a sky box you can get Moto GP free  is this correct .If it is even-though Plus Net is a BT owned company i will have to change to BT Internet  or pay £12 per month extra for the service which i will not pay .Any information would be appreciated.

As stated elsewhere on forum threads:
As of yet we don't have a TV service for this to work on. We're considering our content options but we've not made any final decisions on this yet.

If all these sporty people moved to BT I wouldn't have to have terrestrial programmes polluted.
Especially football and car racing.

I'm sure there are plenty of sports fans that think the same about programming you enjoy.
Which just highlights just what an poor/old fashioned way linear broadcasting is of doing things.
It's obvious from the ever increasing demand for catchup/on demand services where TV is, and should be headed and the sooner the better, frankly.
