BT Sport activation times

Does anyone have an idea of the usual timescale from ordering to activation?

Normally within 24-48 hours (I've never placed an order so not 100% sure!)

Hi Chris,
Just to tack my question on to the end of this thread... 

I'm currently moving house, but will have both Sky and Plusnet at the new address (all new accounts).
The current timeline is as follows:

• 6th feb: phone line activates on plusnet


• 7th feb: broadband activates on plusnet


• 8th feb: Sky engineer comes round to install sky

I believe the sky viewing card will be posted out to me prior to the engineer visit on the 8th - Ideally I would like to be able to watch the live FA cup games on the 8th if possible.
Do I need to wait until after the engineer visit is complete to sign up to BT sport, or could i just provide the viewing card  when I receive it a few days before so it's all active for when the engineer arrives?

Hi there,
I believe you'll need to wait for the service to be installed, but if both engineers are booked for the 6th then both services should activate on that day - you'll not be able to sign up for BT sport until you have the box though as I believe you need to send the box's serial number in order to get the service activated.

Thanks Matt, I'll wait until the sky is installed on the 8th then.
Also noticed that the FA cup games weren't until the week after anyway, so no need for any panic after all!
