Nah, I live miles away from the exchange - on the 21CN trial I only manage around 3Mbps.
You might be confusing an earlier comment about a 27dB Attenuation, but unfortunately this applies on my work connections only.
No such luck for at home!

Re: BT Fibre exchanges

Nothing at all - at least not for a long while!
The list of exchanges has been released, but they haven't actually started the work yet, and when they do, it'll take quite a while.
And then you need to find an ISP that has products that can take advantage of the new network.
So basically, pretend nothing is happening for a while, and wait to see what comes of it!

Re: BT Fibre exchanges

Pierre - I doubt it somehow; everybody talks about it being a 'list of 29' exchanges, so if two have been missed off the list, that means it would be a list of 31.
Or, two of the ones on there are not being done at all.
Either way, I don't think its likely that Kent and Suffolk would have been done already, when BT have said that the first two the will do are in London and Wales.
Think you might have been mislead by somebody. Wink

Re: BT Fibre exchanges

Ebbsfleet was the trial location for BT deployment of Fibre rather than copper  see here  Though there is some confusion in a number of the reports as to whether they are trialling FTTC or FTTP?
My interpolation is that it is most likely to be FTTC Smiley
See here for some later details
as I see it the "list of 29" is for the first 'live' deployment as opposed to the pilot at Ebbsfleet.    Good reports out of Ebbsfleet on the methods (and costs!) of actually achieving the deployment.
Sadly my exchange is unlikely to even get 21CN until whenever  Cry
