BBC iPlayer desktop - download 2 programmes simultaneously

I have set it to download one programme but when I want to download a second at the same time is says I need to install iPlayer desktop
Is there a limit of downloading one programme at a time or is something adrift

Is there any point?
I find an iplayer download is close to my max download,
Around 4 - 4.5Mbps anyway.

Because I want it to download during the off peak period as during peak it is very slow and it will also bite into my 10GB allowance (HD download is about 1.5 GB)

I would vote for the "something is adrift" option.
I've been able to download more than one program at a time (for the same off peak reasons as you).
I also sometimes find iPlayer Desktop reluctant to start downloading properly unless I exit the program and restart it.

You need get_iplayer

Exited iPlayer desktop and restarted - now works OK (it may have been a problem with Adobe Air update)

I have downloaded three programmes at the same time but didnt start them simultaneoudly.
I frequently download a couple and sometimes three this way.

No problem here downloading 2 or 3 simultaneously. Only problem since the new version came out was the other day I downloaded 'Prog At the BBC' - next day it expired without having been watched! OK after downloading again.
