Automatic Private Address?...2 Weeks of life lost....Help!!!

Apologies if this is not new.  Couldn't find a current or archived thread.  Anyone out there able to advise on the following wireless problem.
Voyager 2100 Wireless Router currently connecting two XP devices....not a problem.  Attempt to connect a third and get Automatic Private Address and therefore no internet connect.  Device sees router no problem.  Hard cabled the device into the router and it connected fine getting IP assigned from DHCP.
I have kept devices of and tried, I've reinstalled XP on one device - still nothing.  Done all the standard..."have you tried this".  I'm needing a "yes, I've seen this before and I resolved it this way" experience, if anyone out there can oblige.
Thanks for reading folks.

Check MAC address filtering on the router to make sure it is not enabled or that your adaptor is on the list.
Check also to make sure that you have entered the correct WEP/WPA key in your computer.
